Theatre
In 2018-19 I worked as set designer on the New Vic Youth Theatre's National Youth Theatre Connections production of Luke Barns' 'The Sad Club' . This role was particularly challenging as it was performed both in the round on the main stage at the New Vic Theatre, and then in the thrust studio space at the Sheffield Crucible. I approached it by designing a vinyl floor that could work in each scene, then organising props to indicate settings where necessary. This took key words and phrases from the show and combined them into one cohesive design.

I also worked as an assistant stage manager, helping quick costume changes and putting the set together between shows.

In 2019 I spent three weeks at Rose Bruford College with the National Youth Theatre completing a course in set design and scenic construction. Here, I worked with other course members as a production team, designing the set for Ned Bennett's 'Percy' . This involved working within a very tight time frame and budget to source an inflatable zorb and pump, adapting a bath tub to be safe for use, and attaching wheels (complicated by the age and material of the tub). We also textured and painted a floor cloth for the NYT's Rep show of Great Expectations at the Southwalk Playhouse.
